Cookies Policy
This page explains what cookies are, which cookies CherryPay uses and how you can control them in your browser.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to keep them secure and to help remember your choices between pages or visits.
Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting (first‑party cookies) or by other websites that provide content on the page (third‑party cookies). Some cookies are strictly necessary for a website to function. Others, such as analytics or advertising cookies, are optional.
Cookies we use
CherryPay currently uses a first‑party session cookie to keep you logged in and to help keep your account secure. We do not currently use cookies for analytics, advertising or marketing.
The session cookie is required for the logged‑in areas of CherryPay, including the Holiday Pay Calculator, the Payroll CRM and the free helper tools that rely on login. If you disable this cookie, you may not be able to sign in or stay signed in, and some features may not work correctly.
| Cookie name | Provider / domain | Purpose | Type | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | CherryPay / cherrypay.uk | This cookie keeps your session active while you use CherryPay. It allows you to log in, move between pages without having to sign in again, and helps protect forms and account actions. | Strictly necessary, first‑party session cookie | Session cookie. It normally lasts until you close your browser, or until a period of inactivity has passed. |
If we start using any additional cookies, such as analytics or marketing cookies, we will update this page to describe them.
No analytics or marketing cookies
We do not currently use cookies for web analytics, advertising or marketing. This means we do not use cookies to build profiles of users, to track your activity across other websites, or to show targeted adverts.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- See which cookies are set on your device.
- Delete individual cookies or all cookies.
- Block cookies from specific websites.
- Block all cookies or only third‑party cookies.
How you do this depends on which browser you use. You can usually find the relevant options in the Settings or Preferences menu, often under sections like “Privacy” or “Security”.
If you choose to block or delete the CherryPay session cookie, you may not be able to log in or stay logged in to the CRM, the Holiday Pay Calculator or other tools that require an account.
Updates to this Cookies Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time, for example if we add new cookies or change how we use them. If the changes are important we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
This Cookies Policy is version 1.0 and was last updated on 12 February 2026.
